The Senior Associate Director will support in leading the client relationship for Duracell in EMEA and be a driving force for best-in-class planning and implementation across all EMEA markets.
The role requires working with the EssenceMediacom team made up of a range of key disciplines that help us deliver a top-class service to Duracell: Account Management, Strategic Comms Planning, Sports and Ents, Programmatic and Social Media.
This role will include leading EssenceMediacom’s output for Duracell in planning and executing Brand campaigns; so that we achieve top of mind awareness and drive sales of the Duracell battery
Accountabilities include:
Superior Client Account Management
- Ability to engage senior-level marketing clients at the regional level
- Build and maintain excellent client relationships through best-in-class client servicing.
- Actively participate in the development of client contact strategies and pro-actively seek opportunities to problem solve and advise internal teams and markets.
- Act as focal point for biddable and local teams. Driving excellence and quality in account management and delivery.
- Assist the BD with client and partner agency resolution issues.
- Assist the BD in reporting and adherence to client servicing action plans.
- Anticipation of clients’ needs and setting up internal process to meet them.
- Recognise the best work from across the industry and category and be confident in sharing and applying relevant insights.
Market support, practice development and implementation
- Identify and set relevant process and KPIs in conjunction with key clients and then apply to the teams working at EssenceMediacom – both locally and centrally - supporting them in delivery and monitoring progress.
- To inspire and advance each market’s understanding and activation across all platforms working with local agency teams and media owners where necessary..
- Focus on delivering against regional commitments, encompassing people, resources, quality of services, deliverables, and remuneration
- Support local market delivery by creating consistent approaches to account needs including QBRs, summits, PCAs, media landscape and competitive reports
- Share best practice across markets where appropriate and create consistencies in output
People Management
- Management and development of team market coordination team
- Regularly report back to full team on insights from markets
- Maintain high level of motivation amongst team members and implement initiatives to ensure team retention.
- Anticipate team workload, propose team structure / staff requirements, effectively manage team resource gaps, e.g. leave cover.
- Develop strong relationships with internal teams – including BD, Strategy leads and digital and supporting services (commercial, legal, etc)
- Effectively manage upwards
Specific areas of focus include:
- Overall client satisfaction
- Maintain and improve campaign performance through relationship building within internal Essencemediacom teams
- Working with the Business Director to deliver the developed strategy, ensure timely communication and management of client expectations
- Working closely with specialist central teams as well as local markets to safeguard timely delivery of services.
- Usually working with strategy director, develop clear and well supported central strategy or framework for the communication planning that will be help generate effective and innovative media plans.
- Brief and inspire local markets
- Provide local markets with clear and relevant direction and ensure successful implementation of the strategic approach through the selected channels.
- Provide accurate and timely information flow from local to regional in accordance with the agreed scope of work.
- Look for ways to harmonize or automate workstreams using Mediacom’s tools
