Senior Associate – Competition & Regulatory (London)
This is an opportunity to join a well-established Competition & Regulatory practice with a genuinely international outlook. The team is recognised for its pragmatic, commercially grounded advice, operating at the intersection of regulation, competition and complex transactional work across transport, infrastructure and energy.
The London team is seeking to add a Senior Associate as part of a continued expansion of its broad regulatory offering. The role encompasses a mix of transactional and advisory work, including UK and EU competition law, merger control and foreign direct investment, alongside sector-specific regulatory matters. Much of the work is embedded within wider cross-border deals, financings and strategic projects for major industry participants, investors and public bodies.
You can expect a high degree of autonomy from the outset, working closely with partners and senior colleagues while taking real ownership of matters. The environment will appeal to someone who is commercially minded, adaptable, and comfortable navigating multiple regulatory regimes across different industry sectors.
About you:
• Qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales, or another common law jurisdiction (ideally with England & Wales experience);
• At least five years’ post-qualification experience in competition and/or regulatory work at a City, international or leading regional firm;
• A strong technical grounding in UK and EU competition law and regulatory matters, with an interest in transport, infrastructure or energy being advantageous;
• Comfortable running matters independently, while contributing effectively within a collaborative team; and
• Practical, responsive and committed to delivering excellent client service.
