Lead/Senior Auditor – Construction & Nuclear Sectors

  • UK-wide (preferred locations: North West for Nuclear, Midlands to South for Construction)
  • Home-based with travel to client sites across the UK


Are you a seasoned auditor or quality professional ready to make a meaningful impact in high-stakes industries? LRQA is hiring Senior Auditors, one for the Construction sector and one for the Nuclear sector to join our expert team and help shape the future of assurance and compliance.


Lead/Senior Auditor – Construction Sector


Ideal for professionals with experience in:

  • Built Environment
  • HS2, Crossrail, National Highways
  • Large-scale UK infrastructure projects


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits against ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Assess quality, health & safety, and environmental systems across construction projects.
  • Engage with clients to deliver insights and drive continuous improvement.
  • Travel regularly to client sites across the UK.


Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in UK construction/infrastructure projects.
  • Strong auditing background with ISO standards.
  • Familiarity with National Highways Sector Schemes and sustainable procurement (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home.


Lead/Senior Auditor – Nuclear Sector


Ideal for professionals with experience in:

  • Nuclear energy or engineering
  • Quality assurance and compliance in regulated environments


Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit management systems against ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Evaluate nuclear sector quality and safety systems.
  • Provide expert recommendations for system improvement.
  • Support development of LRQA’s nuclear assurance services.
  • Travel to client sites across the UK.


Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in the nuclear sector (auditing, QA, or compliance).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • RQA or IRCA auditor certification (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple engagements.
  • UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
