Role: Senior Authorised Person (SAP) – HV Substation Projects

Location: UK

Turner Lovell are working on a range of vacancies for Senior Authorised Person.

We’re looking for experienced Senior Authorised Persons (SAPs) to join a leading organisation delivering critical HV substation construction and network upgrade projects across the UK Power Networks distribution area. You’ll play a key role in the safe delivery of HV/LV electrical engineering works, including substation builds, planned outages, and network reinforcement.

Responsibilities:

Planning and executing HV switching schedules using DNO systems
Isolating and earthing HV apparatus
Issuing safety documentation (Permits, Sanctions, Limitations)
Preparing method statements and risk assessments
Supporting project planning and mentoring junior engineers
Ensuring compliance with safety rules and HSE legislation

What We’re Looking For:

SAP authorisation at 11kV, 33kV, or 132kV

on a UK DNO network

Experience in substation construction, HV commissioning, or network maintenance

Strong knowledge of electrical engineering and outage planning

HNC/Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Full UK driving licence
