This role offers genuine flexibility as the role is predominantly remote with occasional travel to client sites and our Manchester office for collaboration and team events.
Responsibilities
You will act as the primary point of contact for one or more key clients or business areas, managing their reporting, analytical, and data needs while delivering actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. You’ll design and implement high-quality Power BI solutions, promote data-driven thinking across the organisation, and drive continuous improvement through stakeholder engagement and operational analysis.
In addition to leading on client engagement and report delivery, you will drive the automation of business-as-usual processes, and contribute to improving data quality. You will provide mentoring to junior colleagues, lead training initiatives, and help build a culture of excellence in business intelligence. Your day-to-day work will involve close collaboration with clients, internal departments, and international teams, contributing to the firm’s wider digital transformation journey.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Considerable client-facing or stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Proven experience in a business intelligence or data analyst role ideally using Power BI / Fabric.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable insights and dashboards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of databases and data architectures with a sound knowledge of SQL
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
Desirable
- Experience working with large, complex clients or within a professional services environment.
- Exposure to process automation and efficiency improvements in reporting workflows.
- Previous involvement in a digital transformation or change initiative.
- Knowledge of legal services.
- Knowledge of insurance services.
- Knowledge of AI tools and their potential.
