The Senior Change Lead role will be responsible for providing leadership for the change management capability within the Digital Health Protection programme (DHPP) delivery. The role will provide change planning and delivery support for the programme to deliver significant change and benefits to the people of Wales.
Acting with high levels of autonomy, the postholder will be expected to take a strategic lead on embedding and delivering change in all business areas of the programme with impact across the organisation. Using expert communication and engagement skills, they will build an appropriate consensus to this approach among all relevant parties.
Main duties of the job
As the Senior Change Lead, you will play a key role in driving system-wide change. You will lead the programme’s strategic delivery, working closely with the programme Director, Programme Manager and Senior Responsible Officer (SRO). Your responsibilities will include supporting the business service and digital delivery to achieve the programme’s goals.
Work with senior managers and teams to manage and communicate change at all levels of the business, with minimal disruption to business as usual. A key part of the role is enabling innovation and transformation – ensuring digital solutions are co-designed, user-focused, and embedded in ways that support long-term service sustainability. The Portfolio Lead also plays a vital role in developing programme teams, building capability, and ensuring strong engagement with national digital bodies, NHS partners, and service users.
