Job Description

We’re recruiting for a Senior Client Relationship Executive to join our market leading DC team. The successful candidate will work in partnership with our Client Directors to perform a relationship management role for a portfolio of clients across Investment Only, Own Trust, Master Trust and Contract Based Schemes including some of the largest DC arrangements in the UK.



The role holder will act as a key contact between Client/Trustees and Legal & General taking the lead on Operational matters, client reporting requests and key projects. They will act as the conduit between various business areas within Legal & General to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service to our clients as well as the successful retention and growth of the DC portfolio in an efficient and profitable manner. The candidate will also be a point of contact for a small portfolio of smaller clients and respond to ad hoc requests which may arise from clients and/or advisers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborating with Client Directors, Workplace Sales, and Implementation teams on a portfolio of strategic clients, coordinating regular meetings with Clients/Trustees and advisers to provide updates on operational performance and scheme-specific projects, and ensuring full monitoring and quality assurance for all reporting issued to the client portfolio, both scheduled and ad-hoc
  • Acting as a key contact between Clients/Trustees, analysing, managing, and owning enquiries or escalated issues, and engaging with various teams across the Legal & General business, including Operations, to resolve scheme-specific issues. When required, working closely with members of the Operations team, investigating and resolving queries/issues, and responding to clients in a timely and high-quality manner that meets expectations
  • Working with Client Directors on emerging projects, including investment transitions, rectification exercises, and communication programmes, and supporting the preparation of client meetings by creating meeting papers and liaising with clients regarding meeting logistics
  • Maintaining full awareness and understanding of service commitments provided to the client portfolio, and ensuring that various areas of the business are equipped to meet those expectations
  • Building strong collaborative working relationships across the DC business, developing a network of key contacts and knowledge to deliver high-quality service to Clients/Trustees within appropriate risk, governance, and compliance frameworks
  • Keeping abreast of changes to the wider regulatory and legislative landscape, and assessing and adapting current processes or scheme designs accordingly
  • Contributing to propositional development projects, including participating in cross-business planning and project implementation meetings
  • Ensuring clients receive sufficient information to make informed decisions, in alignment with Consumer Duty principles

Qualifications

Who we’re looking for:

  • Professional qualifications in relation to the role are desirable for example PMI, Certificate in Financial Planning, IMC
  • Experience and knowledge of DC product solutions and marketplace
  • Corporate client relationship management experience in a product provider, asset manager or EBC/significant intermediary
  • Understanding of investments, able to articulate at a high-level the performance of the funds
  • Understanding of administration / operational matters in relation to DC pension plans
  • Demonstrable communication/presentation skill – previous client facing meeting and presentational experience is a requirement, as is the ability to articulate and convey information in a clear and compelling manner in writing and in person
  • Ability to listen to client issues, understanding their challenges and leveraging L&G DC to address/resolve these issues
  • Ability to work in a broader client team is desirable
