Located on a 52-acre site 1½ miles from Bath city centre, the Trust operates 732 beds and offers a full range of acute services, including medicine, surgery, women's and children's services, accident and emergency care, and diagnostic services. Established as an NHS trust in 1992, the organization employs around 4,800 staff. Role Description
We are seeking ACC accredited Clinical Coder who applies a questioning approach in the pursuit of data quality whilst efficiently and tenaciously adhering to national clinical coding standards. This is a new opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our well-established but progressive team here at the RUH in Bath.
In this role you will work independently, using your initiative to ensure accurate and timely submission of coded data is achieved. You will be empowered to share their expertise whilst mentoring others and will be well supported by your colleagues as well as our in-house training and audit team.
We are looking for an individual who will be equally committed to meeting productivity targets and deadlines and be motivated by success in these areas.
The hospital has transitioned to a fully electronic patient record and you will not only be adept at using healthcare/IT systems but will be keen to explore what further opportunities and improvements digitisation can provide. The Trust supports a positive work/life balance and our team works flexibly, with the option to work on site, remotely or hybrid.
