This post is suitable for candidates with previous Paediatric and neonatal experience in level 2 and 3 neonatal unit interested in advancing their paediatric training. Please also see table below. UK NHS experience is desirable.
Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of patients under the supervision of a consultant Paediatrician. Clinical responsibilities will include:
Children’s ward -ward rounds, discharge planning, acute admissions and seeing paediatric patients in emergency department. (Referrals from Urgent care GP and internal referrals from ED team and all paediatric patients < one year old who presented to ED)
Regular attendance and active participation in Paediatric outpatient clinics. Participation in overall supervision and education of junior doctors and medical students. Taking an active part in the department’s education programme. Taking an active part in audit. An audit project is expected in this post.
Assistance in conjunction with consultants and specialist registrars with the teaching of undergraduate medical students.
