Description
There is an exciting opportunity for two medical fellows to work within the department of Oncology at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Initially it is a 6 month fixed term contract starting September 2025. These posts will form part of the clinical oncology post graduate training rotation and provide great learning opportunities in a supportive environment. The roles would ideally suit trainees wishing to pursue a career in oncology, post MRCP part II, but not yet in a training role. They may also suit potential CESR trainees, but only with GMC registration and able to work immediately in the UK. The posts allow considerable flexibility for the doctors to choose their area of research or education, to develop their CV’s or clinical experience.

The successful candidates would gain experience of outpatient clinics, systemic anticancer treatments and acute oncology inpatient services as part of a ward and on-call rota. The fellow would have the opportunity to develop the role according to their educational needs and interests either through research, delivery of education or management/leadership skills development. The role would best suit individuals already with oncology experience, but may be suitable for trainees wishing to pursue a career in oncology, post MRCP part II, but not yet in a training role. The post allows considerable flexibility for the doctors to choose their area of research or education.
