Senior Commercial Analyst

A growing UK-based organisation is looking to hire an experienced Power BI Specialist on a 6-month fixed term contract to support the development, optimisation, and delivery of business-critical reporting and dashboards. This role will play a key part in transforming data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders across the business.

The successful candidate will work closely with non-technical and technical teams to understand reporting requirements, build scalable data models, and deliver clear, impactful visualisations using Power BI.

What you'll be doing...

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for a range of business functions
• Translate business requirements into effective data visualisations and reporting solutions
• Build and optimise data models, measures, and calculations using DAX
• Connect Power BI to multiple data sources including SQL databases, cloud platforms, and third-party tools
• Ensure reports are accurate, scalable, and performant
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide insight-led recommendations
• Support data governance, documentation, and best practices

What we're looking for...

• Strong commercial experience with Power BI (Desktop & Service)
• Advanced knowledge of DAX and data modelling
• Experience working with SQL-based data sources
• Proven ability to build end-to-end BI solutions from raw data to dashboard delivery
• Experience Managing a team
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to explain data and insights to non-technical audiences
