BAM FM is recruiting a Senior Commercial Manager - PFI to join the team in the wider FM Operation. Working 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday. This role can be based out of any of our UK Offices.
Your mission
The Senior Commercial Manager – PFI supports the Head of Commercial with the development of commercial solutions and processes to ensure maximum recovery of all contractual entitlement. Management of the PFI Commercial Team and negotiation / liaison within the wider BAM FM organisation on commercial matters and escalation to Head of Commercial as required. They analyse existing contracts for risks and opportunities, develop risk management strategies and timeously prepare internal commercial reports. In addition, the Senior Commercial Manager - PFI supports the business with negotiations, resolution of disputes of terms and conditions of contracts with clients, major subcontract partners and suppliers.
Other duties the Senior Commercial Manager – PFI job role includes the compliance with the contract payment mechanism and liabilities as well as close liaison with finance, legal, estimating and procurement to ensure all commercial issues are managed in current contracts.
Principle Accountabilities:
Operational
• Develop and implement commercial strategies, meeting company goals and objectives focusing on how to maximise profitiability.
• Manage the PFI workload and develop the PFI Commercial Team.
• Proactively instill commercial awareness and provide commercial advice throughout the FM team.
• Ensure the FM Budgets & Forecasts are managed and controlled in strict accordance with the contract and ensure savings where possible.
• Manage the PFI Operational Risk & Opportunities and ensure BAM Flow is utilised.
• Ensure all services and facilities are available within the contract specifications to the most cost effective and efficient manner including KPI compliance.
• Change Control Managemen.t
• Ensure Indexation Files are timeously and accurately updated together with monthly Service Fees.
• Development of strategy in setting financial targets, developing budgets, Profit Improvement Plans and monitoring compliance.
• Manage existing PFI contracts, reviewing and completing contract amendments and liaising with clients.
• Manage all commercial procedures including monthly P & L Reports, assist supply chain processes, procurement and controls are in place to ensure compliance with BAM FM procedures.
Compliance
• Responsibility for the implementation of Health and Safety, quality, environmental system requirements ensuring compliance with all legislation and BAM FM policy and procedures.
People
• Management and development of the PFI Commercial team to successfully achieve company, team and individual goals and objectives to achieve and exceed the service delivery requirements.
• Create and maintain effective individual and team working relationships with the FM team and the client and their representatives.
• Understand existing customer relationships and their requirements to ensure they are being met.
Who are we looking for?
• Qualification in Commercial Management /Quantity Surveying. Ideally RICS qualified to MRICS level.
• Successful work experience as a Commercial Manager for at least 10 years.
• Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/ budgeting processes.
• Excellent commercial awareness coupled with a strategic mind-set.
• Competent knowledge of IT packages.
• Excellent organisational, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent people management skills.
• Ability to understand and work to the BAM values.
