Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced JDE World Technical Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of JD Edwards World ERP applications. This role requires strong technical expertise in RPG programming, JDE World toolset, and a deep understanding of business processes across various modules.

Your role:

JDE World technical Consultant role is responsible for technical development, customization, and support of JD Edwards World ERP applications. This role involves working within the IBM iSeries (AS/400) environment, using RPG and CL programming languages to deliver solutions that meet business needs across various functional areas.

You will need to anchor the engagement effort for assignments, all the way from business process consulting and problem definition to solution design, development, and deployment. You will be pivotal to problem definition and discovery of the overall solution and guide teams on project processes, deliverables. As a thought leader in your domain, you will be the key advisor to architecture and design reviews. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Responsibilities.

• At least 10 years of Information Technology experience.
• 8+ years of Experience in JDE World soft with RPG/CL Coding program knowledge/skill set as technical consultant.
• Should have knowledge of RPG400, CL400, RPGILE languages and well versed with RDBMS, DB2/ 400, and OS400 concepts.
• Strong in Developing Applications and Reports using JDE World tools.
• Very well conversant with the development tools on the JDE World soft and have worked extensively with SVR, SDA, RDA, FTP, Dream Writer & Work Query report writing tools of World soft.
• Knowledge of JDE World architecture and data structures.
• Retrofit standard as well as customized programs to facilitate the business.
• Created new programs as per client requirement.
• Modify standard as well as customized programs based on request
• Proficient in functional areas like finance, Sales and distribution
• Bug- Fixing in customized programs
• Responsible for development and retrofitting of batch and interactive application.

Required

• Should have minimum 8-10 years of experience as JDE world technical consultant

Preferred

• Should be excellent planner when it comes to perform release planning and other delivery planning.
• Should have excellent problem-solving skills
• Thrives in fast –paced and collaborative environment; Ability to manage complex work within tight deadlines; Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong ability to develop / groom a team of Consultants / Developers for an engagement and work in an onsite-offshore team environment - sharing ideas and working collaboratively.
• Strong Customer Orientation and building strategic perspectives
• Nice to have experience with XML parsing, FTP, Job scheduling
