The Role
- Acting as a day-to-day point of contact for clients and playing a key role in account teams.
- Writing of client-facing documents, including research briefings, press releases, strategy documents, policy notes and digital communications collateral.
- Guiding the delivery of cross-channel strategy and ensuring standards of quality across all work.
- Leading on public affairs and media relations activity for clients.
- Supporting across new business activity, from research through to proposal development.
- Bringing new ideas and insight into the team, and to clients – stretching our broader thinking and capabilities.
We’re looking for candidates with:
- A keen interest in current affairs, storytelling, speech-writing, politics, policy, digital campaigning and business.
- Excellent writing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- A passion for a fast-paced and varied working environment, such as in a busy press office, in-house communications team or PR agency.
- Some experience in agency, politics or equivalent in-house role with experience of delivering high-quality work.
- Candidates with 2+ years’ experience in a communications role at a consultancy or relevant in-house role are preferred.
- A good understanding of the media (at a national, regional and trade level) and how the landscape is changing.
The successful candidate will:
- Work with well-known companies and brands in the FMCG, tech, retail, health and energy sectors making an important, tangible contribution to the UK.
- Help these clients, and our team, to develop and execute campaigns.
- Be part of an exciting consultancy focused on delivering high quality work that helps our clients act to earn reputation and advocacy.
