Job Title: Data Analyst (Banking)

Location: Sheffield (3 days onsite/week)

Employment Type: Full-time

Reporting To: Programme/Data Delivery Lead

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with hands-on experience in Bank’s Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) domain. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Bank’s data landscape, particularly around Core Banking, Customer Databases, and Credit Card systems. This role will focus on leading the data analysis efforts for source-to-target mapping, data dictionary creation, and business-facing data engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead data analysis activities across WPB programmes, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
Perform detailed source-to-target data mapping, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Develop and maintain data dictionaries and metadata documentation.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
Act as a key liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with Bank standards and governance frameworks.
Support data migration and transformation initiatives with robust analysis and validation.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience working within Bank, specifically in the WPB space.
Strong understanding of Bank’s data structures related to Core Banking, Customer DBs, and Credit Cards.
Hands-on experience with data mapping, data dictionaries, and metadata management.
Ability to face off confidently to business stakeholders and translate requirements into technical deliverables.
Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in data migration or transformation programmes.
Familiarity with Bank’s internal data governance and compliance frameworks.
Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies.
Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
