About the Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will join a small, agile, and forward-thinking engineering team building scalable backend systems and data pipelines from scratch. You’ll work closely with product and research teams to design and deliver efficient, production-grade data tools that enable powerful analytics and modelling capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance data pipelines
• Develop backend services and APIs to support data processing and analytics
• Optimise data workflows for robustness, automation, and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including research and product
• Contribute to infrastructure setup and CI/CD best practices

Qualifications

• 3-4+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer or Backend Engineer
• Proficiency in Python and cloud-based development (preferably AWS)
• Hands on experience with Machine learning and Generative AI in an enterprise setting is essential
• Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Experience in a start-up or high-growth environment is a plus
