Purpose

In this role you will take a leading role in trading & structuring across a broad range of derivatives (rates, inflation, cross-currency, credit, TRS) as well as FX transactions, government bonds, repurchase agreements and collateral trades. Providing input into the liquidity strategy across Just Groups Matching Adjustment (MA) and non MA funds. Utilising hedging and mitigation techniques under IFRS and SII rules and provide technical and quantitative skills required to build and maintain financial asset models.

As a key player in our team, you will:

• Take a leading role in day-to-day Trading & Structuring: Manage derivatives flows (rates, inflation, cross-currency, credit, TRS), FX transactions, government bonds, repurchase agreements, and collateral trades.
• Shape Liquidity Strategy: Provide a strategic input into new liquidity solutions and strategies.
• Utilize Advanced Techniques: Apply hedging and mitigation techniques under IFRS and SII rules and develop financial asset models.
• Enhance Processes: Improve existing processes like Eligible Collateral Availability and modelling.
• Analyse Market Stresses: Support the analytical process for derivatives portfolios.
• Negotiate Trade Agreements: Lead negotiations and manage legal agreements for bilateral/cleared derivatives trades.
• Stay Curious: Continuously learn about market developments and execute new trades.
• Collaborate: Work closely with the ALM and Investments teams.

Your Experience:

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Front Office Expertise: Significant experience in a financial company (bank, insurance, pensions).
• Trade Management Skills: Proficiency in structuring, executing, booking, and reporting new trades.
• Pricing: Experience in live and backup trade pricing.
• Strategic Implementation: Ability to implement hedging strategies, model risk exposures, and produce investment and liquidity solutions.
• Market Insight: A strong interest in financial markets, including macro drivers, derivatives, trends, and developments.
• Programming Knowledge: Familiarity with programming languages (VBA, Python, Julia, C++, C#).
• Regulatory Understanding: Knowledge of processes and governance in a regulated insurance company is a plus.
