Senior Developer

What you’ll be doing

• Develop, test, and maintain Python code for a variety of applications
• Analyse, troubleshoot, and solve complex programming problems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data science, product, commercial) to deliver new features
• Write clear, concise, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices
• Take ownership of technical decisions, contributing to architecture and design choices
• Help establish strong engineering standards and processes as we scale

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Python fundamentals and object-oriented programming
• Knowledge of relational databases (Postgres), Django, DRF, and FastAPI
• Solid understanding of REST API design
• Experience working with containerised applications (e.g. Docker) in a Linux-based environment
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git)
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and a structured approach to debugging/refactoring
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• BSc degree in Computer Science, engineering, or a relevant field (or equivalent experience)

Bonus skills

• Knowledge of a relevant frontend framework or library (we use Vue.js)
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• JavaScript / TypeScript experience
