The Development Team plays a key role in this mission, creating reliable, feature-rich, and market-leading software. The Senior Developer will engage fully in the software development process, contributing innovative ideas and leading process improvements when needed.
Established in 1983, Maytas as been developed as a flexible learning management solution used by training providers, employers, and universities. It tracks learners, personnel, employers, and resources in one database, offering a comprehensive view of an organization’s training activities. The product streamlines administration, supports various training types, and manages funding, objectives, and evidence submission.
Maytas is now embarking on a next-generation iteration to enhance user experience with smooth processes, mobile-friendly design, and integrated services.
This role is based in Lancaster and requires office attendance on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The role
We are excited to be bringing on a Senior Developer to fully participate and contribute to the software maintenance, management and development process at Tribal, specifically on the Maytas product. We’re looking for someone to join us, demonstrating a high level of competence and professionalism.
As a Senior you will be supporting with process improvement and process management as well as mentoring junior developers when needed, helping them build their confidence and skill level In their role.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
The Person
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in back-end technologies like .net, .net core, Java or similar.
Expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS and JavaScript is essential, particularly with frameworks like Angular or React/Next.
The candidate should have experience in crafting optimized SQL queries along with some exposure to deploying code to cloud infrastructure, using best in class CI/CD techniques, would be beneficial.
Additionally, a background in development with an in-depth understanding of software engineering and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems is necessary.
