Overview Of Project/role
We’re looking for a Senior Developer with deep expertise in
React.js to join our dynamic product team. The role holder provides general and/or specialist expertise to ensure that the software developed meets the quality expectations of stakeholders and standards expected by TfL.. You'll work closely with cross-functional team - including product managers, designers, and backend developer, to build seamless user experiences using modern frontend technologies.
Key Accountabilities
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and designs into high-quality code
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and responsiveness
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to uphold high standards
- Work closely with backend teams to integrate APIs and define data requirements
- Stay current with the latest trends in frontend development and React ecosystem
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in web frontend development
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with React.js
- C#/.NET
- SQL Server/CosmosDB
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Familiarity with TypeScript, RESTful APIs
- Git proficiency and experience with agile development workflows
- Test Driven Development
Nice To Have
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and Secure Coding best practices.
- Developing in ASP.NET MVC & Web API
- Working with either Scrum or Kanban
