Join Beatty’s Power Transmission & Distribution team as a Document Controller in Scotland and help deliver critical infrastructure that powers communities across the region. The role can be based anywhere in Scotland. The successful candidate will need to be willing to travel across the region and into Northern England occasionally.
Responsible for establishing governance and assuring data and information flow to and from Balfour Beatty (BIM 360 Docs) and Client common data environments. To manage the Common Data Environment for several projects, ensuring all project information is available and up to date. Encourage collaborative working, information exchange, and aid the project team throughout.
Ensure smooth data and information flow between Balfour Beatty and client CDEs. Maintain up-to-date project information across multiple projects, fostering collaborative working and information exchange. Provide project-related training, support, and guidance on using BIM 360 to the project engineering team, including
subcontractors, the client, and operations, liaise with the Engineering Manager on BIM 360 project-level quality audit implementation, operation, and record-keeping.
Assist the Document Control Manager in providing initial training and ongoing support. Promote the ongoing deployment of BIM 360 on all projects and assist in setting up projects in collaboration with the Information Manager.
Supervise and mentor the Document Controllers, conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, build and maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and address issues promptly and effectively. Encourage a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
