The Team
The Times Editorial Data team sits at the crossroads of data and content, helping readers connect with the journalism they value most. We partner closely with the Times Audience team to understand what drives engagement and how best to deliver impactful stories.
We bring clarity, creativity and technical rigour to connecting readers with the stories that matter. We work across the newsroom, using data and insight to inform editorial decisions every day.
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Editorial Analyst to join the team, reporting to the Head of Editorial Data. This is an embedded role in the newsroom, working across The Times and The Sunday Times.
You combine technical expertise in data analysis with editorial awareness and strategic thinking. You know how to query and structure large datasets, build reporting tools that scale, and turn findings into insights that shape commissioning, framing and promotion.
You guide projects, mentor colleagues and champion best practice in analytics. You help make data part of the newsroom’s daily rhythm, increasing the reach and impact of our journalism.
