What you’ll be doing:
🟢 Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers to manage quality, time, and cost throughout the electrical design review process.
🟢 Ensure all electrical deliverables, including LV installations and instrumentation specifications, meet required standards and project specifications.
🟢 Review and verify electrical designs, schematics, cable calculations, and contractor submissions for accuracy and compliance.
🟢 Provide timely responses to construction site design queries and manage change requests effectively.
🟢 Support resource forecasting, recruitment, and performance management of senior electrical engineers within the Business Unit.
🟢 Lead health and safety compliance, including CDM participation and ensuring designs meet all relevant electrical standards and regulations.
🟢 Mentor and develop junior staff, including graduates and apprentices, fostering continuous improvement within the electrical team.
🟢 Drive innovation and transformation by adopting new digital technologies, embedding standard procedures, and supporting sustainable, low-carbon design practices.
What you’ll bring:
✅ An engineering, or equivalent, degree, or be able to demonstrate a degree level of ability through relevant experience.
✅ Experience of water-sector assets and capital projects.
✅ Knowledge of all relevant regulations, standards and codes of practice.
✅ Experience of mentoring and coaching of junior engineers.
✅ Previous experience in a Design & Build environment is highly advantageous, but not essential.
