Laing O'Rourke is an international engineering and construction company delivering state-of-the-art infrastructure and buildings projects for clients in the UK, Middle East and Australia
Daily Activities Include:
- Checking, reporting, assessing risk and managing scopes of work
- Physical inspections and creation of checklist against designs
- Using engineering judgement for correct response to challenges
- Liaison with stakeholders appropriate to the project
- Understanding of Temporary works (TWC)
- Management of Subcontractors
- Reporting into the Principal Engineer on a large package of works.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate instructions and pre-construction methods are in place.
- Experience of construction sequencing
- Knowledge of insitu and off-site engineering methods
- Able to understand the benefits of BIM
- Managing a team of between 2-5 Section Engineers
- First degree in Civil Engineering Discipline, other construction related degree, or an industry recognised technical or engineering qualification (e.g. HNC, HND, NVQ level 4) plus demonstrable experience in a construction delivery environment.
- Eligible to work in the UK / valid UK visa
- Professionally qualified / chartered by a recognised body - desirable
