Senior Engineering Manager
Salary: Up to £130,000 + Benefits
Location: London, UK (2 days a week, Hybrid)
We've partnered with a profitable B2C PE-backed start-up that's transforming how people enjoy the world's best locations and experiences by financially facilitating world exploration with incredible savings.
They are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead their existing team (circa 15), made up of passionate and like-minded Full stack JavaScript Engineers. As the Senior Engineering Manager you'll play a pivotal role in driving innovation, leading and ensuring the scalability of their product. You will play a key part in translating technical requirements to non-technical audiences at C-suite / board level, whilst remaining close to the code and has a passion for this!
What we expect from the Senior Engineering Manager:
• 10+ years experience in software engineering - All things JavaScript, TypeScript + Java
• 3+ years experience as an engineering manager - proven people / technical leadership experience.
• Proven experience in system architecture design, including scalable, reliable and performant solutions.
• Experience scaling and building engineering teams and facilitating engineering best practices.
• Highly confident and clear communication skills, with the ability to work with non-technical and technical stakeholders.
Comfortable leading Engineers in the following stack:
• Typescript / Next.js
• Java 11 - 17
• PostgreSQL / Kafka
• Cucumber / Cypress / Playwright
• AWS / Kubernetes / Terraform
