Alfa has a number of opportunities in diverse and growing teams working in a product-led software delivery company. We currently have a unique opportunity to join Alfa as Senior Event Coordinator within our Internal Events team on a 12 month maternity cover contract.
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Senior Event Coordinator to join our fast-paced EMEA Events Team, to lead the delivery of internal events across EMEA that support Alfa’s culture, values, and employee experience. You’ll play a key role in shaping and managing a vibrant and inclusive events calendar, from flagship conferences and team offsites to cultural celebrations, wellbeing initiatives, and internal community events.
This is a hands-on, people-facing role that requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the confidence to work across all levels of the business, including senior leadership and external suppliers. You’ll oversee the full event lifecycle, support strategic planning, and collaborate with junior team members.
What you’ll do;
- Support with leading the end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of internal events across EMEA, including conferences, team meetings, cultural and social experiences, and engagement activities.
- Design and deliver a diverse and inclusive events programme that reflects Alfa’s culture and supports employee wellbeing, belonging, and connection.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and venues, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and a seamless experience for attendees.
- Oversee logistics such as travel arrangements, accommodation, catering, tech, and on-site setup, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity at every step.
- Partner with internal teams (e.g. People Team, DEI leads, Communications Manager, Employee Communities) to co-create events and Social Talks aligned with awareness and celebration days.
- Collaborate with the EMEA Event Associate Director and Communication Manager on internal communications for events (e.g. Confluence posts, email invites, feedback summaries).
- Create and maintain a strategic events calendar and reporting process, tracking outcomes, feedback, and lessons learned.
- Act as a key contact for senior leaders and stakeholders in relation to event planning and representation.
- Provide guidance and support to the Events Coordinator and contribute to the continuous improvement of our event delivery approach.
- Be hands-on during event days, from set-up and hosting to problem-solving and wrap-up.
What we’re looking for;
Essential:
- Proven experience supporting leading internal or corporate events at scale (across multiple teams or regions).
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities/projects at once with calm and clarity.
- Bring sharp attention to detail
- Natural collaborator who loves working with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with senior leadership.
- A strong commitment to inclusion and accessibility in event planning and execution.
- Comfortable using tools like Zoom, Outlook, and our Intranet platform Confluence (or similar platforms).
- A proactive, can-do attitude, ready to roll up your sleeves and lead from the front.
- Willingness to work flexibly around event needs and attend the office for in-person collaboration at least two days a week.
Desirable:
- Experience designing events aligned with DEI, wellbeing, or employee engagement goals.
- Familiarity with internal communications or employer branding.
