An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Youth Justice Service for an energetic and dynamic
Senior Family Support Practitioner.
This is a full-time post for a fixed term non-case holding role to cover maternity leave based at The Quad, Chesterfield.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with children and young people, management experience is preferable but not essential.

You will be supported to develop and strengthen your knowledge and skills in trauma-informed practice and have access to a wide range of multi-disciplinary training as well as reflective supervision. This will include access to Psychologists, Speech and Language therapists, Substance Misuse workers, Education, Training and Employment workers, Restorative Practitioners and Wellbeing workers to support you in your role.
What will you be doing?
- Providing personal and practice supervision to Family Support Workers within the team.
- Assisting the Team Manager in efficient and effective delivery of Child First practice.
- Quality assuring Youth Justice reports and assessments, to maintain a high standard of understanding and analysis of the needs impacting our children.
- Working with our multi-agency team members and partner agencies to support the holistic needs of our children and to keep them safe.
- Demonstrating and championing systemic practice.
- Embedding Derbyshire’s operating model into all practice to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families.
