Job Title: Senior Finance Controls Analyst

Salary: Circa £57,000 depending on experience
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver accurate and efficient financial processes within business ERP systems, applying sound judgement and maintaining effective financial controls
- Support the application of financial control frameworks by advising stakeholders on relevant policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Process financial transactions with precision, addressing queries promptly to ensure data accuracy and operational consistency
- Oversee transactional reviews to ensure data quality, accuracy, and adherence to control requirements
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of financial control processes, ensuring alignment with business needs
- Prepare and present accurate reports and tailored insights to support informed decision-making across a range of stakeholders
- Coordinate data collection from multiple sources to support reporting, audits, and financial control activities
- Support internal and external audits, management reviews, and root cause analysis to drive improvements in financial processes and controls
Essential
Your skills and experiences:
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Good understanding of finance systems and how they can be optimised within end-to-end processes
- Sound knowledge of core finance processes
- Clear understanding of how effective financial controls are applied and maintained across key processes
Desirable
- Background in audit or experience supporting audit activity is beneficial
- Experience of SAP and associated reporting tools
- Experience of Record to Report (R2R) and Procure to Pay (P2P) finance processes is beneficial

The Finance Team
This role is based within the Financial Control & Systems Capability Centre at Head Office, supporting the Maritime and Land sector. Reporting to the Senior Finance Controller, it offers a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact on financial processes and controls while advancing your career. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial transactions and supporting robust control frameworks, working closely with stakeholders across multiple Lines of Business, finance teams, and external parties such as External Auditors.
