Senior Financial Crime Surveillance Analyst

We are proud to be partnering with a highly respected private wealth manager in the West End of London. Following ongoing success, they are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Crime Surveillance Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Review escalations from client name screening systems to assess and mitigate risks related to sanctions exposure, political exposure, and civil/criminal enforcement actions.
• Review transactions on blocked accounts to determine whether processing is permitted.
• Conduct timely and accurate investigations and maintain records for sanctions, PEP, and adverse media alerts using the Pythagoras screening tool.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant AML and financial crime regulations.
• Support the MLRO and DMLRO in managing financial crime compliance matters.
• Assist in reviewing and updating departmental procedures, driving system and process improvements.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a similar financial crime surveillance role.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to write clear, professional reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Up-to-date knowledge of money laundering and financial crime regulations
