Role
The Senior Reporting and Finance Analyst role will form part of the Cyber PMO Team and be responsible for maintaining and updating SPENs financial systems. The role will build strong relationships with the business and support the organisations existing systems, upgrades, and improvements.
The role will support the NIS Programme Office Manager to oversee the effective management and communication of the SPEN Cyber capital and operational budgets, providing accurate forecasting against annual budgets and accurate reporting of Cyber Security’s financial position.
This role will also be responsible for the Reporting and Finance Analyst ensuring they have adequate workload and support to perform their tasks
What You’ll Be Doing
Preparation of annual budget submissions
Preparation of RRP(Regulatory Reporting Pack) for Cyber within SP Energy
Networks
Preparation of monthly reporting packs for Senior Management
Promoting best practice and liaising with senior stakeholders.
Provide technical expertise to help facilitate the effective use of financial systems across the organisation.
Analyse data to identify and fix data integrity queries/issues.
Support the preparation of Reopener Submissions to OFGEM
Financial reporting.
What You’ll Bring
Experience of Regulatory Reporting
Experience of budgetary planning
Experience of project reporting & control, and budgetary control.
Experience of working in a PMO environment would be beneficial.
Proven experience in tracking and reporting project management deliverables.
Experience in liaising with multiple parties including Programme/Project Managers.
Capable of producing accurate, relevant work to tight deadlines.
Ability to push back Project Managers to maintain reporting assurance levels, and accurate financial analysis.
Minimum Criteria
- Previous Project Management/Reporting and Financial Analysis Experience.
- Proven ability to work within a changing workload to agreed timescales.
- Commercial awareness and experience.
- Understanding of the UK IT footprint.
- Be a proficient IT user on word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Degree level qualification.
