Job Title: Senior Full stack Developer (Java / Angular)

Contract Type: 12-month contract (with scope to extend

Location: Remote (occasional on-site requirements if required)

Clearance: Must be holding active security clearance

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full stack Developer to join our client in the public sector.

The role involves hands-on development across both backend and frontend systems, contributing to the design, build, and evolution of cloud-based microservices and user-facing applications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services using Java 17 and Spring Boot
Design, build, and enhance frontend applications using Angular, HTML, and related web technologies
Build and evolve microservices with a focus on resilience, availability, and data integrity
Design and consume REST APIs and event-driven services
Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB
Implement and maintain automated tests including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing across backend and frontend components

Carry out peer code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards

Maintain technical documentation and service artefacts

Support and mentor junior developers, providing guidance on both backend and frontend development

Participate in L3 on-call support within a 24/7 operational environment
