About the role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our expanding Software Engineering team at Click Dealer. Reporting directly to the Engineering Team Lead, you will be part of an experienced Engineering team that work on building our core software & websites for our customers. The Engineering team work using an agile Scrum methodology and are set up in a number of squads with product, developers and QA to deliver against a prioritised roadmap.

This is an exciting phase for us as our team undertakes transformation programmes, core product development and back-end work to support the maintainability, security and stability for the future.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain core applications using TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js as well as Amazon States Language
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architecture, product managers, UX designers and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, secure and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of APIs and backend services
• Work across the full stack when needed but with a particular focus on taking a lead on the front-end code design and evaluation.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure software quality and performance.
• Work closely within a cross-functional development team and the wider team, with a focus on working together to achieve desired outcomes.
• Support and mentor junior developers, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and frameworks.
• Architect and implement serverless workflows and distributed systems using AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, Amazon States Language, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.).

Essential Skills required:

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer with a strong portfolio of TypeScript in both Node.js and Next.js/React projects
• Solid experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation).
• Hands-on knowledge of Amazon States Language and serverless workflow orchestration.
• Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Strong grasp of modern CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.
• Extensive experience with unit testing frameworks, particularly Jest, and other testing best practices.

Desirable Skills required:

• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS CDK, Serverless Framework, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Exposure to container technologies (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
