SENOIR GOVERNANCE MANAGER

Location: Greater London or West Midlands (Hybrid)

Contract: 12 months - Potential to extend

Rate: Competitive daily rate

We are seeking an experienced Senior Governance Manager to join a high-profile public sector project. This is a senior role reporting directly to the Company Secretary, requiring strong governance expertise and the ability to operate effectively across complex organisational structures.

Key Responsibilities

Provide governance leadership and ensure compliance with corporate governance frameworks in a public sector environment.
Support the development and implementation of ESGT practices and robust control frameworks.
Interpret and apply governance requirements within the Framework Document and Development Agreement.
Work collaboratively across organisational functions, ensuring alignment with business processes and governance standards.
Engage with senior stakeholders to deliver governance solutions that meet regulatory and organisational objectives.

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise confidently with senior stakeholders.
Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality outputs under minimal supervision.
Solid understanding of ESGT principles and corporate governance frameworks in a public sector setting.
Knowledge of Managing Public Money, Freedom of Information, and Environmental Information Regulations (EIR).
Familiarity with the National Audit Office and its powers is advantageous.
