SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER – SPORTS & GAMING CREATIVE (EA SPORTS APP)

We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer with a strong background in sports and gaming creative to lead the design and execution of high-impact digital assets across multiple platforms.

You will play a key role in shaping the visual identity of the EA SPORTS app, driving creative excellence, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver engaging experiences for a global audience of sports and gaming fans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation and execution of sophisticated visual assets for digital platforms including social media, websites, digital advertising, and in-game content, ensuring alignment with EA SPORTS’ brand vision and tone.
• Own design projects end-to-end, from concept through to final delivery, managing timelines and quality standards independently.
• Collaborate with marketing, game design, production, and user experience teams to develop innovative creative solutions that enhance player engagement and brand loyalty.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and evolution of EA SPORTS’ visual language across all touchpoints.
• Apply deep expertise in typography, color theory, composition, and digital design principles to create compelling and accessible designs.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in sports, gaming, and digital media to introduce fresh, relevant ideas and techniques.
• Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless production and delivery of creative assets.
• Utilize advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and optionally motion graphics tools (After Effects) to produce polished, professional work.
• Present and articulate design concepts and decisions confidently to stakeholders at all levels.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• At least 6 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably within sports, gaming, or entertainment sectors.
• Proven portfolio showcasing high-quality digital design work, including branding, UI elements, promotional campaigns, and interactive content.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Figma; motion graphics skills are a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and digital production workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience collaborating in cross-functional teams.
• Passionate about sports and gaming culture, with the ability to translate this passion into creative storytelling.
• Experience mentoring or leading junior designers is preferred.

Nice To Have

• Experience working on AAA game titles or large-scale sports/gaming brands.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design and interactive prototyping.
• Familiarity with 3D design tools such as Maya or Cinema 4D.
• Motion design or animation experience.

Location:

The base for this position is Kew, London.

Working Days:

5 day week, x4 days in office and x1 day WFH

You will be expected to work with the team to plan a schedule based on production requirement.

Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week.

Whisper offer the option of flexitime hours subject to production requirements.

Start:

August 2025 – 12 month FTC
