Senior Health & Safety Officer
Tower Hamlets (with regular travel to Park Street and London sites)
Up to £45,000 per annum
Hyde is looking to recruit a Senior Health & Safety Officer.

As a Senior Health & Safety Officer at Hyde, you will work within the Property Maintenance team to provide practical, operational health and safety support and advice to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and policy requirements, helping to embed a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across Hyde’s maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
• Deliver toolbox talks, site inspections (30+ monthly), and H&S audits across London
• Support accident/incident investigations and lead on “lessons learnt” communications
• Provide guidance on risk management, compliance and CDM procedures
• Deputise for the Health & Safety Manager as required
• Monitor staff and contractor safety behaviours and escalate non-compliance
• Drive and maintain robust health and safety systems and procedures (including asbestos and manual handling risks)
Skills and Experience Required
• Experience in a similar health and safety role, ideally in property maintenance or construction
• Level 5 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent required
• Strong knowledge of H&S legislation, including CDM and asbestos management
• Desirable: TechIOSH/GradIOSH, L3 training qualification, ISO 45001 auditing experience
• Confident communicator and relationship builder across varied stakeholders
