Senior Infrastructure Engineer | £45,000 - £55,000 | Hybrid | MSP

Are you passionate about building modern, resilient, and scalable IT infrastructure?

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) team that helps businesses unlock the full potential of their technology.

In this role, you’ll design and deliver enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions across Microsoft, Azure, and virtualisation platforms. You’ll work with a diverse range of clients, helping them modernise, migrate, and optimise their environments — all while driving innovation and best practice in every engagement.

What You’ll Do

Design, implement, and support Microsoft-based solutions including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
Deliver consultancy across modern data centre technologies such as VMware/Hyper-V, storage, backup, and disaster recovery.
Lead migration and transformation projects from legacy to cloud and hybrid environments.
Assess client infrastructures, identify risks, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end managed services and solutions.
Provide technical input for proposals and solution design during pre-sales stages.
Produce high-quality documentation and ensure projects are delivered to specification.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

About You

Proven experience in enterprise or MSP environments.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies:
Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy
Microsoft 365, Exchange Online
Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, and security)
Experience with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Understanding of storage, networking, and backup solutions.
Solid grasp of IT security principles in hybrid environments.
Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.

Desirable certifications:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect / Security Engineer
VMware VCP
ITIL Foundation
Vendor certifications such as Cisco, Veeam, NetApp, Dell/EMC, or HPE
