The Role
We are looking for a Senior Investment Manager – Life Sciences to join our Direct and Co-Investment team. You will lead complex investments from origination through to execution and portfolio management, focusing on venture and growth-stage companies in the life sciences sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead scientific, financial and investment analysis of co-investment opportunities.
- Manage the full deal process including due diligence, financial modelling, and negotiation of legal agreements.
- Oversee portfolio companies, including performance monitoring and valuation.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders across the UK venture ecosystem.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members, with the potential for formal line management.
About You
- Demonstrated experience leading venture capital investments in life sciences.
- Deep understanding of scientific datasets and financial modelling.
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams and co-investing alongside other funds.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative mindset and strong organisational capability.
Qualifications
- A degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. Biology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics) is required.
- Postgraduate qualifications such as a PhD, MSc or MBA are desirable.
