Synechron is looking for a Senior Java/ Full Stack Developer to join an exciting global bank with the focus on strategic architecture builds and enhancing existing applications to meet regulatory obligations. Joining a dynamic team of 15+ Developers in Glasgow the team provide technology solutions to regulatory and legal entity controllers across European regions, supporting the banks Finance Department.
This is a Leadership role requiring someone who is a mentor to more junior members of the team - someone with strong tech skills but also able to provide direction and support.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Full Stack Developer proficient in Java and/or Scala with experience including Spark, DataBricks, Azure Cloud, Snowflake and Power BI. Additionally experience with front end technologies such as Angular, relational databases, automated testing frameworks and build tools is beneficial. The candidate will be familiar with techniques and concepts related to building high quality software in an agile fashion, including automated testing, tooling and devops tools/concepts.
