Join us at Ormiston Academies Trust as Senior Lead Practitioner for Mathematics.
As we move into an exciting new phase, we are looking for an experienced, confident leader who can support all our schools to raise standards and improve outcomes. Through modelling, coaching, mentoring and problem solving you will ensure that every child is achieving their potential in mathematics.
Our five-year strategy includes ambitious goals to raise outcomes above the national average with our disadvantaged outcomes in the top 20% nationally. We know that a high-quality curriculum taught by expert teachers is critical to achieving that vision.
In this role, you will be instrumental as a strategic leader in ensuring that our high-quality mathematics curriculum is taught excellently in all our schools and iterated to always get better, with all teachers having the subject knowledge and pedagogical skills to bring that curriculum to life and to achieve excellent outcomes for all pupils, especially the most disadvantaged.
Youll lead a team of regional lead practitioners, ensuring that all central support is of the highest quality, aligned to our vision and goals, and raises standards. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring that our collective knowledge of teaching mathematics is sector leading.

About You
We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven track record of securing sustained excellent outcomes for students, personally and as a leader of a team. You will have significant expertise in raising mathematics outcomes across multiple schools.
An up-to-date knowledge of curricula, assessment requirements and the national picture of mathematics education is essential, as well as experience of curriculum development and implementation of curriculum at scale across multiple schools.
The successful candidate will have a highly effective leadership style, with the drive and energy to bring a wide group of stakeholders on a journey of development and improvement. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to report to senior stakeholders.
This is an exciting role for someone able to manage complexity working across multiple schools and projects at one time, and able to drive real improvement.
