An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Legal Biller to join the finance department at a fast-growing and entrepreneurial law firm located in Central London. This role offers a broad and varied set of responsibilities within a tight-knit team, contributing to the firm's continued success as one of the UK's fastest-growing law firms.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Process invoices efficiently and timely.
- Issue credit notes as required.
- Handle specific bill requirements and process accordingly.
- Resolve complex queries both internally and externally.
- Upload invoices to e-billing servers.
- Manage credit control and escalate credit control issues as necessary.
- Support the Team Leader and assist with team training and development.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High-quality data entry skills.
- Advanced knowledge of invoicing and strong numeracy skills.
- Excellent query resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
- Ability to work under pressure when required.
- Conscientious, approachable, and enthusiastic.
- Confident in dealing with senior lawyers, management, and clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Strong telephone and office manner.
- Previous experience in a law firm is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of client ledgers and purchase ledgers.
- Experience with Partner for Windows is advantageous but not essential.
- Billing experience is essential and ideally someone who has experience of supporting colleagues.
- Ideally educated to A-level standard, but a minimum of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths is required.
Working hours 9am-5.30pm Monday- Thursday and 9am-5pm on a Friday. The role will be working in the office 1-2 days to start then may reduce over time.
