Senior Legal Counsel

Our Client, a global alternative asset management firm, is looking for an experienced investment management counsel to join their team here in London.

The ideal candidate will be 9+ PQE with a strong track record in both a ranked Funds Practice and in-house at a Tier 1 private equity firm. They will be able to combine a strong collegiate approach, with independent contributions and a commercially savvy mentality.

This is a broad mandate and will see the right individual join a strong Legal management team as they continue to build and strengthen their offering in response to client demand.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of end-to-end fund structuring, launch, maintenance and wind down or transfer
• Product development
• Drafting, review and negotiation of broader contracts and agreements
• Mentoring and development

Requirements:

• Excellent academic track record
• Minimum 9-10 years' PQE across a ranked private practice funds team and a Tier 1 Asset Management or Private Equity firm
• Qualified in England & Wales
• Minimum of 18 months in an-inhouse role - permanent or as a secondee (in the last 4 years)
• Deep knowledge of private markets funds across AIFs, UCITs, UCIs, etc.
• Right to work in the UK - this role will not be sponsored
