JOB PURPOSE
The Sr. Manager, Commercial Strategy and Innovation, will be responsible for leading and driving strategic initiatives around two primary areas across Hyve: Product strategy and AI implementation. These areas are both critical to Hyve’s short-term and long-term commercial growth. The role is designed to enhance operational efficiency, unlock new revenue streams, and shape Hyve’s future tech product offerings.
Key Responsibilities & Strategic Priorities
AI Strategy & Implementation
- Drive the application of AI to improve how Hyve runs its operations, increasing efficiency and effectiveness
- Focus on leveraging AI for two core purposes:
- Using AI to drive commercial impact across Hyve teams
- Driving of best practice and implementation by function
- Lead the creation and implementation of an AI Project Scoring Framework to assess opportunities based on functional maturity, commercial impact, and scalability
- Collaborate with the tech team and key business stakeholders to pilot and scale AI initiatives that support strategic goals
- Promote adoption and awareness of AI across Hyve by partnering with internal comms and senior sponsors
- Monitor project performance and reporting including, fortnightly Strategy and AI team meeting and ongoing updates to the COO/ senior leadership
- Manage external stakeholder comms around Hyve’s AI strategy as the “AI Champion”
Product and Meetings Programme Strategy and Monetisation
- Lead the strategic evolution of Hyve's Meetings Programme to drive revenue growth, operational scalability, and value
- Conduct commercial and operational reviews of Global Brands meetings programmes to identify efficiencies, monetisation opportunities, and areas for scale
- Lead internal Innovation Lab structure to support cross-functional pilot initiatives with centralised reporting
- Analyse and improve buyer recruitment models in collaboration with relevant teams, identifying measurable process improvements and confirming new strategies
- Work closely with event teams to identify and implement new revenue models, including paid access tiers, sponsorships, and upsell opportunities such as VIP or prioritised meetings access
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Proven experience in commercial analysis, process mapping, and gap identification
- Ability to lead end-to-end strategic projects with measurable business outcomes
- Strong background in product innovation, including product monetisation
- Demonstrable ability to build clear, visually compelling PowerPoint decks for senior leadership and marketing audiences.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering outputs to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally with Tech, Finance, Strategy and other teams across the business
