The role..
Global Partnerships has a position open for a Senior Legal and Business Affairs manager to join them on a permanent basis to support Zoo 55.Reporting to the Head of Legal & Business Affairs for Global Partnerships, this role sits within ITV’s Global Partnerships Legal and Business Affairs team, acting as a Senior Legal and Business Affairs Manager - passionate about digital. It supports the digital growth of ITV’s global content business by providing commercially strategic mentorship, negotiating and drafting deals, and enabling innovation across immersive media, interactive entertainment, and digital platform ecosystems. The role plays a key part in crafting digital opportunities, handling legal risk, and embedding scalable operations in fast paced digital environments whilst maintaining alignment with Global Partnerships risk management processes.
Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Providing trusted strategic advice to o Zoo55 leadership on digital and commercial legal strategy, innovation, and risk management.
- Collaborate closely with wider Global Partnerships Legal and Business Affairs teams to align legal input across interrelated IP exploitation areas (including rights acquisition, format licensing, digital tape sale, content syndication and brand licensing .
- Support content monetisation, rights management, and inter-group licensing strategies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements across digital and social platforms.
- Work with the Director and Head of Legal to craft and implement scalable processes, templates, and governance frameworks to ensure legal compliance.
- Advising on sophisticated issues relating to IP law, consumer protection, platform regulation, new technologies, AI, and content policy - including in the context of immersive content, interactive media, and evolving regulatory landscapes.
- Maintain shown understanding of global platform standards and data privacy (including UK/EU GDPR).
- Work cross-functionally to support deal execution, innovation, and operational success.
- Embed agile legal workflows to enable growth and compliance in emerging digital environments.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Qualified UK solicitor (or equivalent in a non-UK jurisdiction) with at least 4 years post-qualification experience.
- Legal experience in a law firm or in-house, passionate about IP exploitation, digital content, gaming, or social media platforms.
- Solid understanding of UK IP law, data protection, and consumer protection regulations relevant to digital and social platforms.
- Experience advising fast-growing or evolving businesses, including establishing legal processes and workflows.
- Experience analysing sophisticated IP rights positions and applying different business models to new products and services and advising on the exploitation of IP rights for new media and digital businesses
- Ability to assess sophisticated IP rights and apply commercial strategies to digital products, services, and media.
