Playing a pivotal role in shaping NewDay’s growth, in this role you will focus on the design, delivery, and optimisation of credit strategies across our fastest-growing products, from embedded finance and BNPL to point-of-sale lending.
Working closely with retail partners and internal teams, you’ll lead on high-profile initiatives such as the launch of new products, embedded finance migrations, and the adoption of innovative data sources. With direct responsibility for strategy design and hands-on analytics, you’ll help ensure we balance growth with responsible lending, delivering sustainable outcomes for both customers and the business.
What You Will Deliver
- The launch of the new Argos Pay product, leading on the monitoring of early performance and post-live optimisation of the strategy.
- The migration of the AO embedded finance product to our new platform.
- Strategies to utilise a suite of new features on the AO product, including upfront payments and basket contents (SKU) data.
- The continued development of the NewPay 1:Many products, supporting the expansion of both the LBG partnership and NewPay Direct.
- Develop key relationships with partner teams around the business; Existing Customer Management, Impairment, Enterprise Partnerships, Commercial, 2nd Line Risk, Data Science, Finance, Treasury.
Essential
Your Skills and Experience
- University degree level or similar with highly numerate and analytical background.
- Experience in developing credit acquisitions strategies and implementing policies and controls to govern acquisitions strategies.
- Excellent planning and prioritisation skills, with an ability to anticipate challenges and being open to change.
- Strong experience within a financial services organisation, with knowledge of consumer credit sector and products, and a core background in risk and / or analytics
- Ability to demonstrate proficient use of SQL / python in developing analysis and strategies
Desirable
- Experience in leading a team within a growth business, with a proven track record of recruiting and developing a strong team.
- Familiarity with modelling techniques.
- Proven understanding of decisions systems e.g. Provenir
- Experience with Credit Reference Agency (Credit Bureau) data.
