🚀 Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit! 🚀 Reporting to the Balance of Plant Lead, the Senior Mechanical Engineer shall be responsible for developing a fluid system. The Senior Mechanical Engineer shall work closely with multidisciplined teams and the supply chain to help deliver the system design. 

Your mission:

​💧 Lead Fluid System Development: Manage a small team to develop fluid systems. 📊 R
eview Design Documents: Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Layout Drawings, Component Sizing Calculations, Datasheets, and Specifications. 🔍 C
onduct Optioneering: Lead and review optioneering studies, Decision Record Files, Design Descriptions, and Requirement Specifications. 🔧 A
pply Systems Engineering: Develop and review Functional and Design Requirements using Systems Engineering principles. ⚙️ I
ntegrate System Design: Ensure the fluid system design integrates seamlessly into the wider power plant. 📞 P
rovide Technical Support: Act as the technical contact for interfaces and stakeholder activities. 👥 S
upport Design Reviews: Participate in Design Reviews and HAZID/HAZOP studies with multidisciplinary teams. 🛡️
Liaise on Safety: Collaborate with the safety team on nuclear safety licensing, environmental planning/permitting, and related interface activities. 🔒 E

ndustry Experience: Background in nuclear, thermal power, oil and gas, or other highly regulated sectors. 💧Fl
uid Systems: Experienced in fluid system design development. 📐 D
esign Phases: Proficient in roles covering FEED to detailed design and EPC delivery. 🛒 P
rocurement: Skilled in developing procurement specifications and collaborating with suppliers. ☢️ T
echnical Expertise: Strong technical background in thermal power or similar projects 💬 C
ommunication: Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders. 🌐 P
roject Management: Ability to identify and manage critical interfaces on major projects. ⚖️ S
afety & Standards: Knowledgeable in UK Health and Safety regulations, safety systems, HAZOP, and engineering standards. 📚 C
