We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Occupational Health Advisor to join our Acute NHS Trust. This pivotal role will provide a comprehensive Occupational Health service to all Trust staff, supporting the health, safety, and wellbeing of our workforce while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
As Senior Occupational Health Advisor, You
Provide a comprehensive Occupational Health service to all Trust staff, ensuring issues are managed professionally and competently.
Offer expert clinical leadership, management, and guidance to less senior staff, acting as a clinical expert and positive role model.
Deputise for the Head of OH in their absence, ensuring continuity of service.
Assist the Trust in promoting and maintaining staff health, leading on service improvement and health promotion initiatives.
Advise staff on matters relating to health, safety, and welfare at work, promoting and maintaining health and wellbeing within your area of expertise.
Ensure compliance with the Trust’s Risk Management Policies and Procedures, safeguarding patients, staff, and visitors by minimising risk.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled Occupational Health professional to contribute to shaping and delivering a proactive, forward-looking service. You will play a vital role in supporting the Trust’s workforce while driving service improvements and ensuring that the Occupational Health team continues to deliver at the highest standard.
Clinical Leadership -Support service improvement and delivery against KPIs, governance standards, and Trust objectives.
Service Delivery
Deliver specialist advice and support to staff, managers, and multidisciplinary teams.
Conduct health assessments, surveillance, vaccinations, and blood tests in line with legislation and Department of Health guidance.
Provide advice and follow-up after inoculation/contamination incidents and staff accidents.
Lead on health promotion initiatives and wellbeing programmes across the Trust.
Support delivery of OH services to NHS and commercial clients under contract agreements.
Quality, Risk & Governance
Lead on the development and monitoring of clinical standards and quality improvement measures.
Participate in audits, research, outbreak investigations, and service evaluations.
Ensure compliance with Trust Risk Management policies, infection prevention and control, and regulatory frameworks (CQC, HSE, NICE, NHS Plus).
