We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our team as a Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist to work within our existing CAMHS Intensive Support Team (Mental Health) based in Shropshire
This service is part of a new multi-disciplinary team, specifically commissioned to work with autistic children and young people experiencing significant distress, who are at risk of hospital admission.
In the role you will work within the Thrive model “getting more help” by providing support to a small number of young people, their families and other stakeholders, in order to prevent poor health outcomes and to reduce hospital admissions, so that people remain in their local communities, getting the right support.
You will provide assessments and interventions to autistic children and young people experiencing a high level of distress, and who require specialist, trauma-informed intervention. Working within the remit of relevant local, national and professional guidelines, for example NICE guidelines.
