/Location: Farnborough HQ (Hybrid)

/Working Shift Pattern: 4on, 4off. Rotating Days and Nights (hours of 7-7)

Gama Aviation is seeking a highly capable Senior Operations Controller to join our Ground Operations team in Farnborough. Working at the heart of our 24/7 Operations Control Centre, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient and timely delivery of aircraft services to our clients.

This senior role supports the Duty Operations Manager in leading the shift team, driving operational excellence, and acting as a role model within the Ground Operations community. You will help shape the client experience, uphold our high standards, and guide the team through complex operational challenges.

/Responsibilities

• Preparation and monitoring the validity of operations with regards to:

-Crew flight briefs

-Operational Flight planning

-Flight Time Limitations (FTL) schemes

-Ground Handling services and arrangements

-Overflight, Landing and Charter Permits

-Flight watch of active company flights

-Weather watch

• Processing pilot duty and rest records in accordance with the Operations Manual and Operations Procedures Manual.
• Liaising closely with Engineering and maintenance organisations regarding aircraft serviceability.
• Assisting with client updates relating to aircraft status and operational changes.
• Overseeing day‑to‑day workflow of Operations Controllers as delegated by the Duty Operations Manager.
• Coaching, developing and mentoring Operations Controllers and apprentices to ensure consistent standards across the team.
• Acting as a role model by following and promoting established processes and procedures.
• Providing cover for the Duty Operations Manager during periods of absence.

/Skills, Qualifications and Experience required

• Minimum 5 years Ground Operations experience.
• Proven flight planning and operational experience, ideally gained within a Business Aviation environment.
• Strong understanding of national and international aviation regulations and their operational impact.
• Recent experience in a similar role within a similar organisation, with the ability to deal with complex operational issues inherent to a fast-moving environment.
• Working knowledge of EuroControl, Foreflight, PPS and Flight Time Limitation schemes.
• Excellent communication skills with a range of audiences, including senior management and clients.
