Are you interested in research and wanting to work for a research intensive university?

Following on from our success in the Research Excellence Framework, the School of Education has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Operations Officer (Research) to help us build on this and support the achievement of our research strategy.

You will work flexibly as part of a team to support the operational delivery and of the School’s world-leading research.

You will:

  • develop, deliver, manage and coordinate support and activity across a range of research projects and related areas
  • provide specialist support advice and guidance on operational processes and activities
  • contribute to the development and continuous improvement of research related plans, policies and processes
  • support the collection and preparation of information and documentation for operational management and quality assurance and enhancement purposes
  • provide high-level administrative support to the School’s vibrant PGR community
  • work closely and collaboratively with colleagues in the School, wider Faculty and Research and Innovation

You will need excellent interpersonal skills, work well in a team, be highly organised, flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced and varied environment. As someone who is self-motivated and has experience of contributing to projects and improving processes, you will help drive forward change and deliver excellent service. Experience of working in a research environment would be a distinct advantage.
