This position is a 12 months maternity cover.
You will be one of 3 senior paediatric audiologists, part of a small and friendly team offering assessment, diagnosis, habilitation and rehabilitation of children in the Hillingdon Hospital and Mount Vernon Hospital catchment area.
The team also consists of a part-time paediatric audiologist and 2 assistant audiologists sharing one full-time post, in addition there are 2 part time administrative staff.
The team offers a nurturing environment, where you will feel valued by your colleagues and patients, while making a difference to children's lives. In addition to clinical and line management responsibilities, you will also take on the audit activity leadership and Departmental Equipment Controller responsibility for the team.
This position involves the assessment, diagnosis, habilitation and rehabilitation of children referred to our service.
You will be responsible for a broad range of clinical activities; the majority of which are complex and demand a high degree of individual responsibility.
You will also be involved in teaching & training, clinical & administrative audits and research. The post-holder will be expected to always maintain high clinical and professional standards. They will also be involved in service development and will be expected to be adaptive to change.
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
